I had severe anemia that the doctors said may lead to me having a blood transfusion or iron infusion. My anemia was caused by fibroid tumors that caused severe and heavy bleeding. I don’t believe in blood transfusions, so I asked myself how can I get my blood count up without having a transfusion and conventional medications. I was going to need a hysterectomy to stop the heavy bleeding. The doctors said I needed to get my blood count up before I could have surgery.
